wet at wrigley
Walking through your neighborhood over to Wrigley Field to begin your work day is a pretty cool occupational benefit. Started my Sunday shift today and found my way inside the Friendly Confines for the first time. Tracked down the Tribune spot on third base, found lunch and a line-up, watched the (seven) ceremonial first pitches and … rain.
Off and on for hours until they called it. Maybe the dome isn’t all bad. I’ll still take ivy-covered walls over baseball in an empty warehouse, though.
The Cubs come back to the hood next week.
