the man, the legend
Shot last night’s Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals from the suddenly-dreaded ice-level position. With national media taking all of the hole positions, the Tribune and other newspapers are relegated to shooting through the glass, which turns anything shot at an angle into a distorted mess.
The advantage is getting to sit right by the Blackhawks bench, and I happened to pick up the arena strobes going off nearly in-sync as goalie Antti Niemi took the ice. Two more wins and the guy who played last season for the Rockford IceHogs will be a legend in Chicago forever.
I’m off hockey until games 5-7, so now I hope this doesn’t end in a sweep in Philly and they head back home next weekend.
