In the big controversy of the weekend, Dustin Johnson was leading the PGA Championship by one as he came down the 72nd hole of play in the final pairing. His tee shot ended way up in the gallery along the 18th fairway, and as it turned out, in a tiny bunker that people had been trampling through all week.
Not realizing he was in a sand trap, Johnson grounded his club twice before striking the ball. The resulting two-stroke penalty kept him out of the playoff for the championship.
