joined for life
I had the special opportunity to visit with Brianna Manns and her twins, Kaydon and Kameron, as the turned a year old last week. The twins are joined at the chest and share a heart and a liver, but at this stage are otherwise pretty healthy.
Reaching their first birthday was a huge milestone for Brianna and her family, as they were never expected to survive out of the womb. Now, even with a possibly limited life expectancy, Brianna is hoping to bring them home so they can experience life as happy, curious boys. Deborah Shelton’s story that examines some of the intriguing ethical implications of their case is here.
