Unexpectedly got to photograph my first no-hitter last night, but I guess that’s always the case. Francisco Liriano of the Minnesota Twins came into the game against the White Sox with a 9.14 ERA, and while he was less that perfect in giving up six walks and a lot of hard hit balls, he finished the deal.

His reaction after the game seemed to be as much relief as excitement, and he admitted he was exhausted. It probably would be a more dramatic celebration from a pitcher on his home field with the crowd behind him, but it was fun to see and photograph nonetheless.
