goodbye again, tampa
One final shot from the last night of the convention. I’ve seen enough festive hats for a few years.
Great experience to cover, but quite a challenge to do alone compared to the teams of two or four or ten photographers that some organizations had on the floor. Each night there’s been one critical moment (after eight hours of waiting) when the family members come out, and the first two nights I lucked into pretty perfect position to line them all up.
Tonight I happened to be about as far from Mitt Romney during most of the celebration moments as I could have been, but it was just luck of the draw with where he and Paul Ryan ended up on opposite sides of the stage. Mitt barely looked over in our direction but I was able to make one frame I liked when he did.
